Hey Girlfriend—I’m Valerie Beals, but you can call me Val, like all my favourite people do.

I was born in Nova Scotia and raised in Toronto, where I still live and serve today. I just turned 40 and feel more aligned than ever with the season God has called me into: mentoring, ministering, and mothering with purpose.

A few years ago, I started blogging and sharing my journey—not because I had it all figured out, but because I knew other Christian women like me were quietly carrying battles they didn’t talk about. I wanted to create a safe space. A sacred space. A sisterhood rooted in Christ, calling, and Kingdom confidence.

That’s how my YouTube channel @inspiringforfaith and brand Faithful and Focused with Val was born. Since then, I’ve been teaching, speaking, and mentoring women around the world—from mamas in custody battles to visionary entrepreneurs building their purpose-based platforms.

I’m a servant to the Most High. I'm a trained English major, a student of social work and human development. But more than degrees and titles, I carry a passion for Kingdom strategy and faith-rooted mentorship.
