12 Christian Side Hustles You Can Start Today with $30 or Less

Hey Girlfriend, Welcome back to this weeks blog. And it's all about Stewarding your Kingdom. If you’ve ever felt a nudge from the Holy Spirit to start something of your own — to create, inspire, and earn without needing a huge investment — you’re in the right place. Whether you're a stay-at-home mom, a working woman of faith, or just starting your entrepreneurial journey, these Christian side hustles are for you.

And the best part? You can start most of them with $30 or less!

Here are 12+ simple and Spirit-led ideas to help you build income while honoring your values:

1. Start a Sticker Shop on Payhip (Free) or Hostinger (as little as 2.50/month)

Faith-based stickers are hot right now — think scriptures, affirmations, and positive quotes. Use Canva to design, and print through affordable vendors or print-on-demand. You can start digital-only to avoid printing costs.

Tools: Canva (free), Cricut (optional), Payhip (Free)

2. Christian Jewelry Side Hustle

Handmade or curated — either way, faith-inspired jewelry sells! Start with a few pieces (cross necklaces, scripture bracelets) and photograph them beautifully. Christian jewels have become one of my favourites to purchase.

Bonus Idea: Add a small card with a scripture or blessing with every purchase.

3. Digital Scripture Prints

Design and sell printable Bible verses or wall art. You don’t need to ship anything, and you can offer instant downloads on Etsy.

Startup Cost: Free with Canva and Payhip. | Use 'Startup Prints' to receive our DFY Bible Verse Wall Art Templates completely editable in Canva to customise as you see fit.

4. Mockup Templates for Christian Creatives

Design mockups for faith-based creators (journals, posters, shirts). Sell them on Creative Market or Etsy. This is a great niche because you’re helping other Christian businesswomen too! If you're not sure where to start, check out our Mockup Bundles

5. Christian Business Templates

If you're great at creating business templates like Notions, resumes, etc., create Canva templates for sermon notes, prayer journals, scripture study, or devotionals. Sell to Christian coaches, pastors' wives, or ministry leaders.

Keep It Simple: Start with 3–5 templates to test the market.

6. Faith-Based Journals, Planners & Ebooks

You can sell digital journals and planners and transition them into physical ones. The easy thing about making physical journals at home for only a tenth of the cost of outsourcing them is you only need a few things

Glue (I would suggest using Bearly-Art (Precision Craft Glue)). I get mine from Amazon because well this girlie loves her same day deliveries. But it you don't mind waiting and you'll rather save a few bucks- Temu. I've done both and as a single mother who has recently did a 70% downgrade, I prefer digital - but I always give homemade journal options (I just don't advertise them).

Think prayer journals, weight loss with Jesus, or gratitude journals.

Tip: Canva + Hostinger, KDP, Lulu, etc.

7. Soy Candles with Scripture Labels

Start with small-batch kits from Amazon or local craft stores. Add your own labels with scripture or faith-based affirmations.

Example: “Let Your Light Shine” – Matthew 5:16

8. Children’s Christian Coloring Pages

Design coloring sheets with Bible stories, scripture, or characters like Noah, Daniel, David, Jonah, Esther, Ruth, Deborah and so many more hero worthy booklets for kids. You can bundle them or sell individually as instant downloads. Best thing of all No Start Up Cost.

Great for: Sunday schools, homeschooling moms, Christian moms and of course churches.

9. Affirmation Cards (Digital + Print)

Encourage other women of faith with printable or physical cards. You can include scripture, declarations, or morning prayers. These are one of my absolute favourites, I often just keep creating for women like myself and children - it's a fun and inspirational way to stay connected with the Word and spread the Gospel

Print Tip: Use 4x6 or business card size to save on cost or go digital.

10. Start a Christian Blog

Hey Girl Hey, start your blog today. You don't need any start up cost you can always use free sites, but if you're going for the long run, I would highly suggest saving the 30 bucks and just using Hostinger that gives you the option to use Wordpress which is the best hosting site out there for blogging. This is a long-term side hustle that builds over time. Share devotionals, Christian motherhood tips, or your testimony. Add affiliate links, offer digital products, or coaching as you grow.

11. Acrylic Bible Bookmarks

Design clear bookmarks with vinyl scripture decals or pressed flowers. They're unique and make beautiful gifts for Bible lovers. Add favourite bible verses and personalise with their name on the verse side. People love showcasing personalised gifts.

12. Bible Highlighter Sets (Curated)

Bible highlighters are an absolute must when studying. You remember studying in school, how much more work it was when we would forget our highlighters. Well, Bible studying is no different and choosing the right highlighters are key. We wouldn't want to have our pages run with colour or bleed through. No Ma'am. Source pastel or no-bleed highlighters and bundle them as Bible study kits. Add your brand’s sticker or note for a personal touch. Amazon has an incredible selection

And because I'm not trying to have you make the same mistakes as me, here are my best 2 tips for starting any type of Kingdom.

Tip 1. Fill Your Cart Shop Strategy (Low-Risk Inventory)

Don’t overbuy. Instead, create listings for Christian merch (like mugs or tees) and only purchase from your supplier once someone places an order. This is especially smart for beginners using Temu or AliExpress with Klarna for small layaway orders.

Pro Tip: Create mockups of items before you ever buy physical inventory.

Tip 2. Buy on Layaway with Klarna + Temu Combo (if you're on a tight budget, plus there is no interest)

Temu is one of my favourite stores to grab some inexpensive Christian products, like stickers, pins, highlighters and everything Bible essential. At least with these products, I find that the cheap price does not compromise on quality. They have affordable Christian lifestyle products like cross jewelry, scripture tote bags, and even clothing. But always buy at least one of the items (even if you're on a tight budget) the last thing you want to do is advertise and get bad reviews because you provided poor quality. Use Klarna’s pay-later plan to buy small quantities, test what sells, and reinvest.

Budget Tip: Choose just 2–3 SKUs to stay under budget.
